Uzbekistan-Azerbaijan: issues of bilateral cooperation development were discussed
The day before, a bilateral meeting was held between Chairman of JSC"O'zbekiston temir yo'llari" H.Khasilov and Chairman of CJSC "Azerbaijan Railways" J.Gurbanov, where issues of technical and technological assistance between the railway administrations of the two countries were discussed.
At the meeting there was noted fruitful and mutually beneficial work on the development of the international multimodal route "Asia–Pacific countries – China – Kyrgyzstan – Uzbekistan – Turkmenistan – Azerbaijan – Georgia – Turkey - Europe" .
In connection with the current situation in the world, it was noted that coordinated measures and operational interaction of the parties will contribute to the revival and increase in cargo transportation volumes, accelerate the passage of container trains and the organization of combined cargo transportation.
In order to increase the volume of traffic, as well as to resolve bilateral issues, the parties agreed to hold regular meetings headed by the Heads of the railway administrations of Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.
Following the talks, the parties agreed to hold the next meeting at the end of April in Baku.
