Uzbekistan-Switzerland: implementation of new projects
A meeting with representatives of the Swiss company «Stadler» was held at the JSC O’zbekistan temir yo’llari. In a constructive dialogue, issues of the development of bilateral relations in the field of wagon building were discussed.
In particular, the question of the organization of the territory for the production of passenger wagons in Uzbekistan was considered, and further prospects for establishing exports to the regions of Central Asia and a number of other projects were discussed.
The Uzbek side made proposals for the introduction of modern equipment and technologies of «Stadler» at the industrial enterprises of the railway sector of our country, as well as the supply of components and main traction systems of electric locomotives. In particular, it was about the operation in Uzbekistan of modern subway trains and trains produced in Switzerland.
At the end of the negotiations, an agreement was reached on the development of mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation.
